ACADEMIC RESEARCH AND TEACHING
Dr. Raphael Widmer-Kaufmann is a lecturer in aviation law at the University of Bern. He is also involved with the World Trade Institute (WTI) at the University of Bern as co-director of the Swiss Hub for Air and Space Law and Economics (SHALE) , an interdisciplinary platform for research, policy dialogue, and continuing education at the intersection of aviation, space travel, international law, and economics.
His academic work focuses particularly on current regulatory and liability issues in the aerospace industry. The results of his research have been published in various academic publications, including his dissertation, "Aircraft Accident Investigation under Swiss Law ."
